When Discovery Sea Kayak asked if we could create a collection of visual assets for their storefront with social content and travel magazines in mind, we said absolutely! One catch? Bioluminescence, a notoriously hard natural phenomenon to capture visually. From moon and weather cycles to consulting with local experts in bio and tourism, this project required months of preparation and a slim window of specific conditions to pull off. The results were one of our favorite shoots to date —- hanging with passionate conservationists under the Milky Way with phytoplankton sparkling beneath our fingertips.
